Power+Energy's Company History

The Past: 

CEO and Chief Scientist Dr. Peter R. Bossard founded Power & Energy, Inc. in early 1993. That July, Power+Energy shipped its first hydrogen purifier. Since then, over 700 h2 purifiers have been shipped to customers around the World. P+E introduced its advanced Micro-Channel purifier design in 2008. Over 100 micro-channel h2 purifier systems were shipped in the first 2 years following its introduction.

The Present: 

Increasing global investment in energy conservation and renewable and novel energy sources is driving rapid growth in the demand for ultra-high purity hydrogen. P+E is responding to that demand with h2 purifier and h2 separator product lines that are tailored to meet the needs of specific groups of customers. P+E's current products serve the full range of customer requirements from the high flow, low cost needs of high volume manufacturers of electronic products such as solar panels to the exacting, custom requirements of manufacturers of airborne hydrogen fueling systems.

The Future:
P+E is anticipating the arrival of the broader hydrogen economy by expanding its technical focus from h2 purification to the efficient generation of hydrogen. The market for distributed hydrogen generation for use in fuel cells is set to grow rapidly through the next decade as the world adopts hydrogen fuel cells for transportation and as replacements for more polluting methods of auxiliary power generation.
