Power+Energy develops Micro-Channel Hydrogen Purifiers, Hydrogen Separators, and fuel processing technology for the hydrogen economy.
P+E has recently demonstrated its hydrogen gas processing technology, which is compatible with traditional, alternative and renewable fuels. The patented Micro-Channel Separation Membranes can be scaled to supply a wide range of hydrogen volumes, on-demand and at the point of use. This technology can be used to supply hydrogen from fuels in stationary, portable, and mobile applications.
P+E’s target markets include auxiliary power, back-up power, grid-independent power, hydrogen fueling stations, and on-board reforming.
We offer two types of systems:
Hydrogen Separation
In hydrogen production, hydrogen separation systems are used to extract hydrogen from a mixed gas stream, typically provided by a fuel reformer. These systems are optimized for the challenges of efficiently removing hydrogen gas in the presence of high concentrations of other gases. P+E's proprietary technology delivers ultra-pure hydrogen with high separation efficiencies in a compact and rugged package.

Hydrogen Purification
Complete systems and replacement cells that remove trace impurities from commercially available liquid and compressed hydrogen, or remove water and trace impurities from generated hydrogen. These systems deliver nine-nines-pure (99.9999999% purity) hydrogen, with less than 1 part per billion total impurities. P+E offers a wide variety of capacities to support high-volume commercial and laboratory requirements for industrial hydrogen purification.
