Power+Energy Chemical Engineer
Power+Energy is currently hiring for the position of Chemical Engineer. Our ideal candidate:
- Has a Master's or Doctorate in chemical engineering, preferably with a focus on palladium-alloy membrane hydrogen separators or membrane fuel processors for the separation and generation of hydrogen.
- Is familiar with experimentation techniques, mathematical modeling, and simulation.
- Has a strong analytical background.
- Is familiar with both equilibrium and rate equation modeling of reformate gas streams.
- Has experience using LabView software.
- Can write technical papers for international and peer-reviewed journals.
- Should be familiar with parts and assemblies from various venders that are used in experimental fabrication.
- Should be comfortable working in an informal, team-based industrial environment.
The job itself will involve:
- Designing, developing, building, and demonstrating membrane-based fuel-processing systems that use liquid fuels.
- Mathematical modeling and simulation of reformers and membrane purifiers with a view to optimize the overall fuel-processing system.
- Participating in the construction of R&D test equipment and gas equipment panels.
- Building test gas systems incorporating flow meters, MFCs, and pressure sensors.
- Writing project proposals and working with academicians.
