Power+Energy R&D Technician
Power+Energy is currently hiring for the position of Research and Development Technician. Our ideal candidate has:
- Strong hands-on experience with gas-handling and vacuum systems, and/or gas manifold layout and construction.
- Assembly experience with gas lines, controls, and troubleshooting.
- Ideally, familiarity with flow meters, mass flow controllers, and sensors is a plus.
- Coursework/understanding of basic math, physics, and/or chemistry.
- Familiarity with experimental methods and laboratory data recording.
- Some knowledge of life cycle and reliability testing.
- A goal-and-task orientation, with excellent organizational and documenting skills.
- The ability to work with various levels and groups of people, and to adapt to and support a fast-paced, constantly changing workplace.
- An associate’s degree in Engineering Technology and at least five years’ experience, or a minimum of eight years’ experience working in an R&D environment.
The job itself will involve:
- Being part of a team, developing technology and products for the hydrogen-production market segment.
- Working with an engineering team in the design of control systems for R&D test modules.
- Responsibility for constructing, debugging, and monitoring the performance of system operation.
- Once the test modules are operational, responsibility for collecting test data and collaborating with the development team in analyzing the data.
