This website (“PowerandEnergy.com”) is owned and operated by Power & Energy, Inc.  PowerandEnergy.com recognizes the importance of maintaining the privacy of our customers (“Customers”), registered members (“Members”) and other website users (collectively “Users”), and we have posted this privacy policy (“Policy”) to describe our practices regarding the collection and use of information gathered through PowerandEnergy.com.  This Policy applies only to Users accessing PowerandEnergy.com from within the United States.  This Policy is effective as of 9/16/13.  We may from time to time update this Policy and invite you to review this page periodically.  In the event this Policy changes, we will inform you by posting an updated Policy on this web page. If you contact us or download a whitepaper / article, we collect the following information about you: name, company name, address, phone number, email address, and preferred method of contact.  We use the information you supply for the purpose of providing the services you have requested, and as described in this Policy.  In addition, PowerandEnergy.com may from time-to-time contact you via email or regular mail, unless you contact us and request that we do not contact you.

From time to time, PowerandEnergy.com may also conduct questionnaires and surveys and we may contact you via email, postal mail or phone.  Survey information is treated like all of the information we collect, and it is used to help us improve the appeal of our products and our site.

6. Updating, Deleting, Editing Your Subscriber Information for Newsletters

Our newsletter subscriptions are handled through a third party, Constantcontact.com .  If you wish to unsubscribe to our newsletters, please click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the newsletter and follow the instructions.  Once unsubscribed, only you can restore yourself to the subscription list.

7. Live Customer Service Assistance

PowerandEnergy.com offers Users live customer service assistance.  Users of this service may disclose personally identifiable information to PowerandEnergy.com.  This personally identifiable information is used to help facilitate the customer service representative in assisting with the inquiries they receive from the User.  Live customer service is only available by telephone.

PowerandEnergy.com does not use and third party service providers.

PowerandEnergy.com takes your privacy and security seriously.  For this reason we have established security measures including locked doors and files, electronic security and managerial controls that limit the potential for misuse of information by employees, contractors and other third parties.

PowerandEnergy.com does not perform e-commerce through this website and is NOT compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (“PCI DSS”).
